2019 ARCS Annual Conference

This year’s ARCS Annual Conference Putting patients at the centre of healthcare is on 6-8 August 2019 at the ICC, Sydney, Australia.

The ARCS Annual Conference is a must attend event for professionals from the medtech, biotech and pharmaceutical sectors at all stages of their careers. This year’s program consists of plenaries and up to seven parallel sessions over three days covering regulatory, clinical research, health economics & reimbursement, medical affairs, leadership and digital health topics. The executive stream caters for senior managers and leaders from the sector.

The central theme of the annual conference will explore barriers and enablers of putting patients at the centre of healthcare. Which trends will enable patients to participate in the decision making and what can the MTP sector do to apply this principle to achieve better patient outcomes?

Clinical research streams
The program will explore several changes impacting the clinical research sector, with specific streams for investigator-initiated studies, Asia Pacific, trials & patient centricity, trial implementation & trials and technology. For investigator-initiated trials there are sessions which look at the importance of collaborations in research, trial networks, coordinating centres and toolkits to assist investigational sites, while the Asia Pacific stream will explore the opportunities associated with early phase trials in the region. The clinical coordination stream will provide an insight into how to grow and sustain your investigational sites. This year sees the return of the very popular clinical landscape updates and the introduction of sessions on patient centricity in trial design and identifying patients from electronic medical records.
